Tychy is one of the main cities of Upper Silesia. Since mid-2017, it has been part of the metropolitan
association established in southern Poland – the Upper Silesian and Zagłębie Metropolis (GZM). Among
41 cities and communes within GZM, Tychy is on the 7th place in terms of population, which is currently
at the level of approx. 130 thousand residents.
