Education

There are 20 universities in Lodz with around 85,000 students, many of whom are from abroad. The city has launched the “Youth in Lodz” program, which is to encourage young people to tie their future with this city. Free training, scholarship programs and competitions for young entrepreneurs are to help develop the professional career of students in Lodz. Currently, one of the largest architectural projects in Poland is taking place. The New Center of Lodz project, which involves the reconstruction of part of the city and revitalization of historic buildings is being implemented in the Srodmiescie district. Office buildings, restaurants, culture and entertainment facilities will be built as part of this project.
