Biezanow-Prokocim, the twelfth district of Krakow, is located in the south-eastern part of Krakow. It is adjacent to Podgórze, Podgórze Duchacki and Swoszowice.
In the 1970s, the district began to develop in a more of a residential direction. A pre-fabricated architecture dominated the newly raised buildings. Apart from numerous blocks, single-family houses and multi-family buildings were also built. The dominant residential character of the district has become a part of the landscape of this part of Krakow for good. Due to the considerable distance from the city center, housing prices are much lower compared to other districts.
